It’s Monday night and I’m in Cambridge, Mass. MIT has graciously lowered its standards and is allowing me to participate in a week-long workshop on nanotechnology.
And, yes, for those of you who paid close attention, I did attend a conference on nanotechnology in food last week at the Institute of Food Technologists in California.
It’s not that I get off on attending classes and lectures on something I can barely spell, especially when I had to take a redeye to get here. I’m focusing on these sessions because, as I’ve written before, I passionately believe that the use of nanomaterial will have a significant impact on public health for years to come.
I need to understand it and I want to have it explained to me by experts with no agenda to hype or conceal the potential hazards from this world-changing technologies,
All of this leads to the one point I wanted to make: because I’m in class all day the postings this week will be sparse. I promise to make it up.
